Misbar Bekraf, a cinema above the sea, Premiered at the national event of Sail Karimata Bay, 14th-16th of October 2016. Extended for a week, it also offes a gathering and performace space for the local crative community. Misbar is located 200m away from the main stage and surrounded by the beautiful landscape of Datok Island, where the audience can experience an atmospharic convergence of nature and cinematic narratives. A work with strong connection to local people, Misbar consists of shifted Gertak (= wood pathways that connect the people and the water; Pontianak Language) that form an auditorium. Misbar Bekraf is initiated by The Creative Economy Agency (BEKRAF).
