Description

This project is about developing a complex of rented villas, far north from Yogyakarta city. The concept approached from the owner's very interest in zen's living, and his high hope to realize it in a small area, approx 80-meter squares, like most housing complex defined their unit house area. So we use Niwa, a Japanese term as a key concept, which means an inner court as a spatial and visual connector between communal space, such as living room and kitchen-dining space. In the centre of Niwa will be planted a small tree which different for each house as an individual theme.
