Description

The brief from the client is to design an educational facilities and grand mosque to learn Quran and Islam that suits with Indonesian and tropical climate. Furthermore, they want building with low maintenance fee. As a response to its, we propose design that incorporating tropical climate and the program. Looking wind as natural ventilation is the main strategy to be applied in all of the buildings. Inside the mosque, the natural ventilation and plantations are expected to not only maintain the temperature low but also to blur the boundary between inside-outside especially during the praying activities. I involved on this project when I was working with "LABO. Architecture" and led by Deddy Wahjudi and Nelly Daniel.
