Studio Dinding team have recently completed a refurbishment in Serpong, as part of the design, they have created a master bedroom suite with a custom mirror wall finish to enlarge the area and integrated make up table with the tall closet. The house is designed for a newly-wed couple who wanted to blend nature, minimalism, wood and light. In the bedroom, the designer uses mirror with decorative wood planks runs the length of the bedroom, from one wall to the other, expanding the visual view of the room. Upon entering the bedroom, there’s a minimalist desk that attaches to the wall that sit in the middle of the room, while on the other side of the wall serves as tv console. The clever use of materials is again shown in the design. The wall was installed and supported using a glass panel, which allows unobstructed view throughout the room. As they are expecting babies in the near future, surveillance has become the main concern for the couple. The design has served both safety, aesthetic and functional issues. For the kid's room, a grey, white, wood and pastel blue paint lends a subtle design feature. A small homework desk is sandwiched between the floor-to-ceiling closet. The raised platform bed is also designed to keep more storages. Due to the space constraint in the home, the designers made sure to incorporate sufficient storage seamlessly, to keep the living areas looking neat and free of clutter. Underneath the stair is designed as a storage area with integrated furniture along the wall. The living area is kept simple, the staircase is extended and serves as storages and tv console. The door to the storage is disguised as a wall in a neutral white. Several carefully selected accents are wood, which create a pleasant and cozy atmosphere in the living room. Adjoining to the living room is the kitchen and dining area. The continuous glass wall and ceiling in the dining area ensures natural light diffuses into the space.
