Located on a west-facing corner lot at a T-junction, the house is designed in response to two primary site constraints: excessive afternoon solar exposure and limited privacy. To address these conditions, the front façade minimizes direct openings while relying on carefully positioned skylights and side apertures to introduce abundant natural daylight without compromising privacy.The building is conceived as a composition of sculpted, curvilinear volumes that establish a distinct architectural identity while reflecting the personality of its owner. Rather than serving as a purely formal gesture, the flowing geometry extends into the interior, where custom-built cabinetry and furniture are integrated with the curved walls to create a continuous spatial language throughout the house.At the center of the house, the inner courtyard acts as the environmental core of the project. It brings natural daylight and cross-ventilation deep into the surrounding rooms while strengthening the visual relationship between interior spaces. A swimming pool is incorporated within the courtyard, functioning simultaneously as a reflective surface that amplifies daylight and as a passive cooling element that contributes to a more comfortable indoor microclimate.The project explores how environmental responsiveness, spatial continuity, and integrated furniture design can transform a constrained urban site into a private, light-filled residence. Through the interplay of sculptural form, natural light, and passive environmental strategies, the house achieves a balance between architectural expression, everyday functionality, and climatic performance.
