Description
This home began as a conventional two–bedroom apartment. Walls divided, rooms assigned, time measured. We removed the partitions and let the space exhale. What remains is a single, continuous interior, open, calm, and unhurried, designed for slow living and a simpler rhythm of everyday life. The apartment unfolds as one fluid landscape where living, cooking, resting, and dining coexist without hierarchy. Light travels freely across the plan, touching wood, fabric, and quiet corners. The absence of walls allows moments to overlap: morning coffee meets evening rest, solitude meets conversation. Furniture is chosen with restraint and intention. Retro contemporary pieces anchor the space, chrome frames, soft leather, low silhouettes, recalling mid-century ease while remaining firmly present. Each object feels lived-in rather than styled, aesthetic yet approachable, forming a dwelling that values comfort over excess. Overhead, faux wooden beams stretch gently across the ceiling, a deliberate gesture to enhance the retro spirit of the home. They introduce warmth and memory, suggesting a past that never overwhelms the present. Paired with soft lighting and muted tones, they lend the apartment a sense of quiet nostalgia. This is a home shaped by subtraction rather than addition. By removing walls, we gained time, light, and clarity. It is an interior that invites pause, a place to live slowly, live simply, and find beauty in the ordinary.
